Conjured up from my imagination, I wanted to create a fantasy forest filled with gorgeous, colorful foliage embracing your journey, wildflowers blanketing the ground under your feet and mysterious light beckoning you onward to discover what is beyond the next bend. Stop for a moment and take in the view or continue your venture and wander into the unknown.
12″ x 12″ textured mixed media painting

E-mail Niki Gulley for more information on my Texas bluebonnet and wildflower paintings.
This series of Texas wildflowers, bearded irises and ruby red poppies, incorporates extremely thick paint applied with palette knife along with drips and swirls to add energy and whimsy. This gives the paintings a 3D feel that comes alive and jumps off the canvas, while adding joy and color to your room. If you’d like to see companion pieces in the series, please e-mail me to see my other options.

30″ x 48″ Textured Mixed Media on Canvas
SOLD • 36″ x 36″ textured mixed media on 1.5″ gallery wrap canvas with the painting continuing around the edges
Just sold through the Good Art Company Gallery! I wanted this painting to convey the joy of being surrounded by our gorgeous Texas wildflowers. Painting these bluebonnets larger than life and flinging and pouring paint to create a joyful, kinetic kaleidoscope, I feel like the result really lifts one’s spirits. Playing with a calming palette of blues, yellows and greens and building up a lot of texture with palette knives also adds to the energetic, peaceful presence of being immersed in nature.
