Today we hit the beach and relaxed all day! With my feet in the sand, and my painting balanced on my lap, I had to capture the gorgeous ocean view. Photos never seem to do justice to the sound and movement of the ocean waves, so I wanted to capture that feeling better in paint. Of course, that is quite a challenge since the water is always moving! So, I would time my strokes in-between waves so that I could watch and memorize their shape and energy. I hope you can feel the rhythmic catharsis of these tides lapping against the shore and leave all of your cares behind.
