In this painting, I wanted you to feel like a little kid again – laying on the ground and staring up into the treetops without a care in the world. I hope you experience the joy of being surrounded by nature and the beauty in this autumn kaleidoscope of colors.
Canvas Prints now Available: Four 24″ x 24″ canvases are stretched on 3/4 inch stretcher bars with the image continuing around the edges to form a 48″ x 48″ quadriptych that does not need to be framed, just like the original . I have also added thick paint in some of the leaves and trunks to add even more texture and making each print one of a kind. Finally, I have coated the canvases with a UV varnish to protect the paintings. The canvases can be hung right up next to each other or spread apart by a few inches to come out to a maximum of 53″ x 53″. I can also make other sizes or stretch What Dreams Are Made Of on deep 1 and 1/2 inch stretcher bars for an additional fee. Please contact me at Niki Gulley for more information on the original painting or canvas prints.
In this vertical wildflower series, I’ve framed the paintings in espresso floater frames so that you can still see the textured oil paint continuing around the edges of the canvas. These poppies look great hung alone or in a grouping, too!

Just sold through the Good Art Company Gallery in Fredericksburg, TX. Inspired by our travels to Italy, cypress trees rise out of the rolling landscape signaling that you have arrived in Tuscany. Arranging the trees in diagonal patterns, they beckon you to travel down the path they line while softly drifting clouds repeat the shape of the dirt road and create a harmony, leading you into the distance where something amazing may lie. You only need to venture forth to find out!
For information on Party of One or more of my contemporary impressionistic landscape paintings, please see my new works at the Good Art Company Gallery, goodartcompany.com/gac/. I am honored to be one of their featured artists this month, and I hope you can visit with me at the artist reception on March 4th.
Full of fun and whimsy, I wanted to give this red barn personality and also make you feel like a kid again, climbing trees, swinging from their branches and returning to a simpler time in your childhood. Hinting that the barn has humanlike features, I feel like it, too, is inviting you to come play inside. Using vivid colors, distorted perspective and energetic thick oil paint strokes, I hope “Looking Up” brings joy to your home and reminds you of the simpler pleasures when you were a kid.
