I am so excited that I have been invited to be one of just 20 amazing artists exhibiting at Marigold Arts Gallery on Canyon Road in Santa Fe, NM!

They are now displaying some of my aspen forests and Southwestern landscapes. So, if you find yourself in Santa Fe, please stop in and check them out!

I absolutely love it when I come across a whole field of wildflowers – there is something about the transformation of a single dainty flower into a dense explosion of color that inspires awe and delights your senses. I liked how these rows of poppies and earth beneath them created a gentle harmony, inviting you to wander into the distance, getting lost in the moment. Full of color and hope, may “Flowering Currents” transport you to a happy serene place.

New “Prickly Tower” Contemporary Cactus Painting by Niki Gulley

“Prickly Tower” ©2020 Niki Gulley
48″ x 30″ Textured Mixed Media Painting on 1.5″ wrap around canvas with the painting continuing around the edges

On a recent trip, we came across these gigantic cacti. I had never seen such a large cactus before and I was awestruck by its age and size. Purposely choosing this angle from below and narrowing the perspective as it stretches to the dramatic clouds drifting by in the sky, you can get a sense of its scale. Filled with vibrant colors and dragging my paint in swirling, diagonal patterns add to the energy and joy of the scene.
