Just Sold! Dreamy light peeks through the forest’s tangle as the sun slowly rises, beckoning you to wander through the foliage and immerse yourself in nature. Loaded with color, texture and energy, this painting vibrates with a calming energy.
Just Sold! Capturing the excitement and energy I feel while being immersed in the nature, “Counting Time” is loaded with vibrant autumn colors, extremely thick textured paint, movement and spontaneity. Peeling, knotted aspen trees stretch deeper and deeper into the woods, counting time as their foliage dances in the breeze creating an uptempo rhythm and filling the forest with its gorgeous symphony.

Conjured up from my imagination, I wanted to create a fantasy forest filled with gorgeous, colorful foliage embracing your journey, wildflowers blanketing the ground under your feet and mysterious light beckoning you onward to discover what is beyond the next bend. Stop for a moment and take in the view or continue your venture and wander into the unknown.

“Popping Sunshine II” ©2021 Niki Gulley
SOLD • 24″ x 12″ textured mixed media on canvas
Just sold through The Good Art Company Gallery! I wanted this piece to be uplifting and full of joy and energy. Set beneath a colorful sky with a few clouds drifting by on a beautiful day in springtime, the poppies and wildflowers are in full bloom. Using broken impressionistic strokes in surprising hues, causes the landscape to dance and flow, and I hope all of your cares drift away while gazing into this cheerful scene.

My husband and I were on a road trip when we came across a couple of these white house glowing on the horizon. Set among vibrant green gently rolling hills with the intense blue ocean in the distance, something beckoned us to stop. Maybe it was the quiet beauty of the scene, or the nostalgic tug at a simpler life, but we were both moved to capture the moment. To convey that feeling of a less congested life, I accentuated the the basic shapes of the homes against the simple repetive curves of the hills. Meanwhile a few wispy clouds drift by adding to the tranquility of the moment. I hope you are transported to this memory of our past, before modern life got so complicated.
