I wanted this painting to be about the power of the ocean to lift your spirits. Painting this piece on location, I strove to capture the sparkle the sun cast across the turquoise waters as it slowly rose above the horizon. Creating bobbing diamonds of sparkling light across the surface was truly mesmerizing to watch.

Ok, painting in a vineyard is pretty much the dream! Got to set up my easel right between the vines, and the owner even brought over some wine to ‘help with the creative process’ (his words, not mine! ?). These are the days I pinch myself.

Just sold through the Good Art Company! Spreading their joy across the landscape, I wanted to capture the rhythm, color, and density of beautiful, uplifting wildflowers in bloom. Starting with the first signs of spring when prolific bluebonnets carpet the hills, moving into May as vibrant poppies cast their merriment and energy, and finally transitioning into mid-summer when the amazing aromas of lavender fill the air.
