Just Sold! Surrounded by a sea of blue – Scott captured me in my element here! Not only were the bluebonnets and wildflowers magnificent this year, but I just adore the live oaks, too. Their massive stature, their gnarly, twisting branches and the umbrella of shade they cast, just make me want to paint them over and over again. Leaving bluebonnets large and prominent in the foreground, rows and rows of cobalt lift your spirits and lead you back to the shelter of the grand old oak. I hope you, too, can enjoy the beauty of Texas in all of its spring glory.

This idyllic setting just screamed Texas to me and I had to paint it. The quintessential windmill spins in the distance, signaling a change in seasons as spring arrives. Colorful bluebonnets and wildflowers fill the landscape, inviting you to take a leisurely drive through the wildflower fields, noble oaks and into the hilltops ahead. Who doesn’t love a drive through the Texas Hill Country on a beautiful Sunday afternoon? Especially in springtime when the bluebonnets and wildflowers form a rolling carpet of cheerful color! Today we had to stop ont he side of the road for me to capture all of that beauty. Big, fluffy clouds drift by in the sky as those gently rolling shapes repeat in the trees and foreground adding to a harmonious, joyful feel. I hope you can enjoy the escape with me!
